WELCOME TO QP KARATE

Quigley's Point Karate Club was founded in 2008 by Paul Taylor (2nd Dan) and Martin McCole (2nd Dan). Since then the club has grown in numbers and has had various degrees of success on the competition circuit at local, national level and international level. We train in the Wado Ryu style of karate, and traditions in kihon, ohyo and kata are maintained to a high standard. Gradings are held once or twice a year, depending on the progress of the student. We are members of the Ulster Karate Do Federation (UKF) and participate regularly in competitions and courses run by the UKF.

Both Martin and Paul have competed at the highest level, recently lifting a Silver medal at the WUKF World Championships in Lignano, Italy. Both are fully qualified and certified ACS level instructors, have full indemenity insurance and regularly update their qualifications in Child Protection, First Aid and Refereeing with the UKF

The club is based in the Quigley's Point Community Centre, and have a wide range of training equipment, including mats, kick bags, kick pads, focus pads, gloves and various circuit training materials.
